Manic Productions and Premier Concerts Present:
Twiddle, a Vermont-based quartet, dismantles most preconceived notions of jam band culture. Their fresh multi-genre approach conjures up rock, jazz, and bluegrass, but above all, masterfully blends reggae and funk.
After whimsically jamming in the fall of 2004, the founding members of Twiddle immediately recognized creative chemistry. By their second semester at Castleton State University, Mihali Savoulidis and Ryan Dempsey were carefully intertwining harmony and fantasy, birthing band staples like “Frankenfoote” and “ Gatsby the Great".
Twiddle took Castleton by storm, toured the northeast, and composed a catalog of original music before becoming upperclassmen. 2007 manifested Twiddle’s debut release, The Natural Evolution of Consciousness. This breakout album showcased the band’s eclectic inspirations, imaginative lyrical abilities, and superb instrumentation. Twiddle’s sophomore production, 2011’s Somewhere on the Mountain, delves into the human spirit, speaking to our ambition, grief, and love. Their latest production, Live at Nectar’s, is a double disc live album recorded in August of 2013 at Burlington, Vermont’s Nectar’s. A clear hallmark of their career, Live at Nectar’s truly captures Twiddle in their element, the live experience.
Currently Twiddle is shooting up the rows of festival lineups, packing prominent theaters, and inspiring each other. With sage songwriting and unmatched variety, Twiddle continues to exceed all expectations.

Viral Sound
Viral Sound is a five-piece elektro-funk project based out of Providence, RI. Using jam fusion, Viral Sound combines an organic fresh blend of live elektronica, dirty get-down funk, jamming rock and roll, reggae and jazz during each and every show. Uniting a distinct attentiveness to sound and a feverish desire to explore every facet of musical territory, each live performance becomes an intoxicating auditory thrill that spreads like a virus. Ariel Moore's organic bass lines and lead vocals, Charley Zahringer's freakish guitar licks and tasteful backup vocals, and Jordan Giangreco's trans-dimensional synthesizers/keys and powerful vocals, combine with the synergistic rhythm of Dan Rourke(drums/epad) and Chris Ottaviano(percussion) to captivate and enchant audiences worldwide. Each member's musical approach is unique and eclectic, drawing from varied musical backgrounds and interests. During Viral Sound's live performances the members display a telepathic way of communicating with each other and the crowd to generate an explosively mind-bending musical experience. This is one virus that can't be contained…

Kenny Brooks
Kenny Brooks' story began in Oakland, Ca., where he was inspired to play reed instruments from the age of 9. After graduating from El Cerrito H.S. in 1984 he went directly to the New England Conservatory at age 17. There he studied with master saxophonist George Garzone and other notable faculty including George Russell, Bob Moses and Ken Radnofsky. Brooks received his B.M. in '88 and returned to the Bay Area in '89.
His work in the early 90's included the Peck Allmond Group, the afro-pop group Kotoja and the start of his long-term association with legendary drummer Eddie Marshall.
1991 was the birth year of Brooks' groundbreaking hip/hop-jazz band Alphabet Soup. Co-founded with pianist Dred Scott, Alphabet Soup remains one of San Francisco's most popular bands. Alphabet Soup was the first hip/hop-jazz group at both the Monterey and San Francisco Jazz Festivals.
In 1992 he recorded with his hero and teacher Joe Henderson on Kitty Margolis' CD "Evolution".
In 1994 Kenny Brooks and Charlie Hunter began a run of almost 3 years playing duo and trio every Friday night at the SOMA nightspot the Up and Down Club.
In 1996 Brooks joined the Charlie Hunter Quartet. They recorded the CD "Natty Dread" for Blue Note and toured extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. By 1995 Brooks was leading a trio under his own name with Eddie Marshall and top Bay Area bassist Jeff Chambers. Brooks played at the Monterey Jazz Festival in '83, '89, '90, '91, '92, '93, '94, '95 and '99.
