In our Needs of New Haven discussion group, local activists, community leaders, and non-profit representatives help us navigate the rocky terrain of civic engagement in New Haven and beyond. Through discussion of personal narratives, systemic education targeting local and global inequalities, and the exploration of concrete actions participants can take, we not only learn what makes for a just world, but also act to make it a reality. Needs of New Haven is just one of our discussion groups, which meet on the first, second, third, and fourth Mondays of the month. Visit the Discussion Groups page on our website to learn more about each group and how you can get involved: http://bit.ly/YHCgroups
